The name JABARI, meaning "the brave one" in Swahili, accurately interprets our philosophy of music. JABARI truly is the brave one. While most so called "jazz groups" stick with performing exhausted "traditional jazz" standards, JABARI deliberately performs melodies contrary to the norm mixing many different styles of music such as jazz, gospel, funk, hip-hop, r&b and fusion to present a truly energetic and lively evening of musical entertainment.
